To the East of Swansea lies the heart of South Wales, behind the huge steel plant at Port Talbot lies spectacular countryside. There are museums in which to discover South Wales industrial past in the making of coal and steel and also beautiful parks and landscapes. Visit Margam Park or Aberdulais Falls near Neath or take a short ride on the Neath Canal. Or, if you want to hunt for that designer bargain, visit the Factory Outlet shops at Bridgend (right on the M4).
